Projects range in size from small to large master planning efforts.

JOB DESCRIPTION - ARCHITECT
The role of the Architect is to apply and gain industry knowledge and understanding of the architectural profession over time to enable you to make key decisions in an increasingly independent manner. To do this, the following key attributes are expected of the role leading to your advancement to roles with increasing responsibility:

Carry-out directions and assignments with limited oversight.

Develops planning and creative-design concepts for Projects
-
Meet task and project deadlines.

Comfortable and continuous follow-up to ensure expectations are on track

Inform Project Manager and team of potential project conflicts and/or emerging issues.

Make field visits and provide support during construction administration phase
-
Help grow and establish firm standards and mentor Entry Level Architectural Designers

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
STOA Architects is an evolving and established architectural firm that relies on staff members to bring expertise within their field and contribute to the upward momentum and continual improvement of the company. This includes processes, efficiencies, and management of both external and internal expectations. The Architect must possess a diverse range of knowledge and skills, including:

Ability to plan, lay out and effectively facilitate their own work.

Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Project teams.

Synthesize relevant information from various sources needed to deliver on a deadline.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and demonstrate thorough attention to detail.

Clear vision and appreciation of the goals of the company and ability to imbue it in their daily work.

Strong command of software, including Revit BIM software as a tool for design drawings, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, with knowledge of Sketchup and Lumion desired or a plus.

Ability to receive critiques and advance Projects in a constructive manner.

Serve as a team player and collaborator in a dynamic work atmosphere, ensuring positive flow of communication.
